Let the good times roll
NPL Bowls Club is open to both men and women. We have around 30 keen members and we welcome players of any skill level.
Although it can take years to become an expert, bowling is a relatively quick game to pick up and we can arrange coaching if you’re complete beginner.
Green with envy
Our green enjoys a sheltered spot with views of the playing fields and beautiful Bushy Park House. Squared in 1952 to enable use in both directions, the green is kept in excellent condition by NPL Sport Club’s ground staff. After it was professionally surveyed, it was found to be flat to +7 mm to -3 mm.
Club sessions, matches and tournaments
All members and potential new joiners are welcome to join our open session which takes place every Thursday afternoon. It’s a great opportunity to polish your skills, socialise and enjoy friendly rivalries.
We currently organise and host a competitive Monday League, attracting players from local teams and beyond.
We arrange a number of mixed or ladies only matches with other clubs belonging to:
- Middlesex County Bowling Association (MCBA)
- Richmond Barnes and District Bowling Association (RBDBA)
- Thames Valley Bowling Association (TVBA)
We also hold two fun but fiercely-fought competitions each year within the club where members play for:
- singles (Men and Ladies)
- two-wood (Men and Ladies)
- pairs (Men and Ladies, and Mixed)
Since it was founded, NPL Bowls Club has attracted excellent players and built up an impressive track record of sporting achievements at county level and in local leagues.
In recent years, the ladies’ section has enjoyed great success in a number of competitions which has led to new members joining and strengthening the teams. The mens’ section is also proud to be the current Monday League Champions.
